Kaleseramik Wins Another Red Dot Design Award

Kaleseramik has won a Red Dot Design Award, regarded as one of the design world’s most important competitions, for the second time. Its Cersaie 2022 stand, designed by renowned Italian architect Paolo Cesaretti using 100% recyclable materials, received the “Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2023”.

Bringing its holistic approach to inspiring living spaces into stand design, Kaleseramik received the “Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2023” for its stand designed by Paolo Cesaretti at Cersaie, recognised as the sector’s leading global meeting point.

Presenting sustainable products and designs from its strong brands, Kaleseramik attracted attention through its products, its “İyi Bak Dünyana” (“Take Good Care of Your World”) message and its stand, designed by Paolo Cesaretti from 100% recyclable materials in keeping with that message.

Kaleseramik previously won the same award in 2020 for its Cersaie 2019 stand, whose infinity spiral evoked excellence and durability.

“The Red Dot Awards we won for Cersaie in 2020 and 2023 clearly show that when client and designer work shoulder to shoulder, the result is always successful. Of course, we also see these awards as recognition of the quality of our work. They give us confidence that we are on the right path and should continue in this direction.

My aim is to express through design the quality and distinctiveness of Kale, an international company at the forefront of its sector. I see a strong sense of heritage at Kale, together with a truly cosmopolitan attitude. It has great energy rooted in the past and directed towards the future. Whenever I design something for them, I hold that feeling in mind and look for the right formal expression to convey it.

We have had the opportunity to explore many different solutions in design and communication. For a designer, this has been a wonderful opportunity to develop skills and expertise in a specialised yet constantly changing sector such as ceramic manufacturing.”

On its 400-square-metre stand, designed by renowned Italian architect Paolo Cesaretti using 100% recyclable materials, Kaleseramik presented the latest products and collections from Çanakkale Seramik, Kalebodur, Kale Banyo, T-One and Edilcuoghi Edilgres to consumers and professionals under the “İyi Bak Dünyana” concept.

At Cersaie, where the world’s leading ceramic manufacturers meet consumers and professionals, Türkiye’s leading ceramic tile manufacturer Kaleseramik offered an inspiring experience through its sustainability-focused message, products and stand. At Cersaie 2022, it shared Kale Group’s “İyi Bak Dünyana” message, launched with a sustainable world in mind, while attracting strong interest with products that reshape living spaces and a distinctive stand.

In line with the sustainability theme, the stand designed by the renowned Italian architect used Kalesinterflex, an environmentally responsible technological product introduced by Kalebodur and the largest, thinnest porcelain ceramic manufactured in Türkiye.

Chosen for many prestigious projects worldwide, Kalesinterflex stands out for energy consumption three times lower and electricity consumption four times lower, together with carbon emissions a thousand times lower than conventional ceramic manufacturing.

To evaluate the diversity of design professionally, the Red Dot Design Award is divided into three disciplines: “Red Dot Award: Product Design”, “Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design” and “Red Dot Award: Design Concept”. With around 20,000 products competing, it is one of the world’s largest design competitions. The jury first met in 1955 to assess the best designs of the time. In the 1990s, Red Dot CEO Professor Dr Peter Zec gave the award its name and brand identity. Since then, the sought-after “Red Dot” has become an internationally respected seal of design excellence. Award winners are presented in yearbooks, museums and online.
