Access to Clean Water Is Everyone’s Right

Guided by its “İyi Bak Dünyana” (“Take Good Care of Your World”) philosophy and the belief that everyone has a right to clean water, Kale Banyo continued its work to open wells in The Gambia, one of Africa’s poorest countries, where water scarcity adversely affects daily life. The “Yaşam İçin Su, Dünya İçin İyilik” (“Water for Life, Goodness for the World”) initiative, which received strong social media support through the #TemizSuyaVarım hashtag, reached new communities in need.

Another village has gained access to clean water through Kale Banyo’s well-building project, launched with its social media followers on 19 November, World Toilet Day, in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal of Clean Water and Sanitation.

Launched in collaboration with Sen De Gel Derneği in line with the “İyi Bak Dünyana” philosophy, the project opened a well in Sinchu Sarra village in The Gambia this year. The well was named Kale Banyo.
