About Çanakkale Seramik

Products with slip-resistant surfaces are marked with the “A” (Antislip) symbol in the catalogue. Slip resistance is determined using the DIN EN 16165 ramp test (oily/wet conditions) and is shown in the catalogue as R9 and R10 classes. For wet areas such as bathrooms, balconies and pool surrounds, choose products marked with the “A” symbol and the appropriate application icon. The 45x45 cm Roma, Garden and Grava series, for example, are available with matt, slip-resistant surfaces.

No. They indicate two different properties. The letter “R” at the end of a product code means that the tile edges are squared, or rectified. “R9” or “R10” indicates the slip-resistance class. A product can be both rectified and slip-resistant, in which case both markings appear together.

No. The technical tables clearly show the difference: for wall tiles with a thickness of ≥ 7.5 mm, the minimum breaking strength is 600 N and the minimum modulus of rupture is 12 N/mm². For glazed porcelain floor tiles, these values are at least 1300 N and 35 N/mm² respectively. Average water absorption is 10% for wall tiles, compared with ≤ 0.5% for floor tiles. Floor tiles can be used on walls, but the reverse is not suitable.

This number indicates the surface abrasion resistance class according to TS EN ISO 10545-7. Class 1 is suitable for walls and bathroom and bedroom floors; Class 2 for floors with light foot traffic, such as residential spaces; Class 3 for entrance halls and corridors with more frequent use; Class 4 for floors exposed to greater foot traffic, such as shops and restaurants; and Class 5 for high-traffic floors in shops, hotels, restaurants, offices, schools and exhibition areas.

These markings indicate shade variation: V1 means uniform appearance, V2 slight variation, V3 substantial variation and V4 random variation. In V3 and V4 products, differences in shade between tiles are part of the design, rather than a defect. Products to be laid in the same area should be purchased in a single batch and have the same colour/shade code on the box label. Products of the same colour and thickness with the same colour/shade number have the same tone.

They indicate the surface finish: P means polished, M matt and A antislip. In addition, “rich surface” products marked with a star are manufactured using dry application technology.

The application icons next to each product indicate this: wall tile, floor tile, splashback, residential, business centre/office, restaurant/café, hotel, pool, outdoor, frost resistance and antislip. Before choosing a product, check that the icon for your intended space is marked.

Calculate the net area to be tiled and add an allowance for cutting and waste. An allowance of 10% is recommended for straight laying, and 15% for diagonal or patterned layouts and large-format tiles. Your order is rounded up to the coverage of a full box. Box and pallet coverage figures are listed in the box and pallet information tables at the end of the catalogue.

For daily cleaning, a neutral household detergent with a pH below 9 and a microfibre cloth are sufficient. Do not use detergents containing hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts or their derivatives, spirits of salt, sulphuric/nitric/hydrochloric acid, or descalers containing chlorine-based bleach; these chemicals cause irreversible damage to ceramic surfaces. Abrasive tools such as steel wool, harsh scouring pads and metal brushes should also be avoided. Depending on the stain, alkaline cleaners are recommended for grease, tea and coffee; acidic cleaners for limescale and rust; and solvent-based cleaners for ink and resin.

The certifications declared in the catalogue are TSE and TS-EN-14411, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, TS-EN-ISO 50001, TS ISO 45001, TS-ISO 10002, IQNet, Lucideon, B.E.S.T, QB UPEC, CCC, HPD and GREENGUARD Gold, as well as EPD (EN 15804 verified and EPD Türkiye). Green building systems listed include BREEAM, USGBC (LEED) and DGNB. Please contact our technical team for project-specific documentation requests.

About Kalebodur

Porcelain products are manufactured with a denser body and a higher firing temperature, resulting in very low water absorption. The declared water absorption of Kalebodur porcelain slabs is ≤ 0.1%, significantly below the ≤ 0.5% threshold specified for Group BIa in TS EN 14411. This provides greater resistance to frost, stains, abrasion and loads.

A porcelain slab is a thin, large-format porcelain surface. Kalebodur porcelain slabs are produced in sizes of 160x320 cm and 162x323 cm, with a thickness of 12 mm, and are suitable for kitchen countertops, splashback panels and furniture cladding. A thickness of 3 mm is recommended for cabinet door cladding.

No. Products with a polished finish are not recommended for areas with heavy foot traffic, and their applications are more limited than those of matt and semi-polished products. Pools, outdoor spaces, shopping centres and business centres/offices are not among their intended applications. Polished surfaces also have lower scratch resistance than matt products.

Kalebodur porcelain products are frost-resistant in accordance with TS EN ISO 10545-12. For a reliable result, selecting the right product must be combined with waterproofing, an adequate slope, and correct application of a suitable adhesive and grout system.

Selection is based on the surface abrasion resistance class determined in accordance with TS EN ISO 10545-7. Class 5 is suitable for floors exposed to heavy foot traffic, such as shops, hotels, restaurants, offices, schools and exhibition areas; Class 4 for shops and restaurants; and Class 3 for entrance halls and corridors. The class required by the project specification should be verified in the relevant product technical data sheet.

Yes. They can be processed using wet-cutting machines used for marble and natural stone, waterjet cutting or CNC equipment. Watch our video for more detailed information.

Shade variations may occur because the products are made from natural raw materials. These variations are identified by numbers in the colour/shade field on the slab label. Products of the same colour and thickness with the same colour/shade number have the same tone. Due to the nature of the material, Openbook products have a pattern-matching tolerance of up to ±35 mm at the joints. Products should be inspected under suitable lighting when purchased or before fabrication begins.

No. These products are polished through high-speed abrasion; no additional glaze is applied to the surface during production.

About Kale

The Kale washbasin catalogue includes washbasins with integrated shelves, countertop, countertop bowl, inset, undercounter, semi-recessed, island tap-deck, half-counter and pedestal-compatible models. Your choice depends on the dimensions of your existing countertop or cabinet and the installation type. Products are also identified as “wall-mounted”, “furniture inset” or “furniture compatible”. For pedestal-compatible models, full pedestal, semi-pedestal and slim semi-pedestal options are offered under separate codes.

Countertop bowl washbasins are manufactured without tap holes. They are designed for use with a concealed wall-mounted faucet or a tall countertop-mounted basin mixer; a standard basin mixer is not suitable. The descriptions “without tap holes (bowl)”, “compatible with concealed wall-mounted faucets” and “compatible with countertop-mounted faucets” on the product page indicate this compatibility.

The catalogue specifies the hole configuration for each washbasin: one tap hole, three tap holes, two tap holes for double-bowl models, or no tap holes. Whether the basin has an overflow hole (“with overflow” / “without overflow”) is a separate specification. Both details should be checked before choosing a faucet.

This varies by product. Some series include a ceramic Novatik basin waste or ceramic cover, while others do not include the Novatik basin waste. This information is clearly stated on each product’s catalogue page, and we recommend checking it before purchasing.

No. The Triton concealed cistern is designed for easy access, allowing maintenance and repairs through the flush plate opening. It is therefore important to keep the flush plate accessible during installation.

The Triton concealed cistern body has a 10-year warranty. Other auxiliary components have a 2-year warranty.

The Triton concealed cistern supports 3/6-litre and 2.5/4-litre dual-flush operation, allowing water use to be adjusted to each need. Its declared operating capacity is 400,000 cycles, compared with the 50,000 cycles specified by the TSE standard referenced in the brochure.

The Triton concealed cistern can be used with all Kale concealed cistern flush plates, including Capsule, Corro and Uniq. The plates come in a wide range of colours, including white, matt white, matt black, polished chrome, matt chrome, gold, matt anthracite grey, matt mink, brushed nickel and rose gold.

To identify a suitable model, you need to determine whether the waste outlet is horizontal or vertical and measure its distance from the wall or floor. These dimensions are included in the product technical drawings. If you are unsure, ask a store or authorised service provider for assistance.

The declared warranty for concealed cisterns is 10 years for the body and 2 years for auxiliary components. Warranty periods for other product groups, including sanitaryware, faucets and bathroom furniture, vary and are specified in the user manuals. For installation, faults and spare parts, you can contact the authorised service network, the Customer Contact Centre (0850 800 5253) or the WhatsApp support line.

No. Concealed cistern flush plates are available in many different colours and styles and are ordered separately according to the customer’s preferences.

A filtered angle valve must be used, as small particles from the plumbing can damage the cartridge and valve discs over time.

When buying a toilet, pay particular attention to the waste outlet configuration to ensure it matches your home’s plumbing. Installation fittings are included with the products free of charge. It is stated that one person uses an average of 49,140 litres of water per year for toilet flushing. When choosing a flushing mechanism, opt for a 3/6-litre or start-stop model and ensure that the angle valve connected to the filling mechanism has a filter.

Our authorised bathroom service providers offer a 1-year workmanship warranty.

Yes. However, our range includes concealed cisterns in different price segments, so the replacement flush plate should be from the same product segment. If you experience any problems, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0850 800 52 53.

T-One has a stain-resistant, easy-to-clean surface. Coffee, sauces, oil and similar everyday kitchen stains can be easily removed using suitable cleaning methods.

Leave at least 5 cm between the cut-out and the countertop edge. If the kitchen cabinet allows, a greater distance increases the strength of the section. Leave at least 2 mm between the hob and the porcelain slab to allow for differences in thermal expansion. During installation, leave a 2–3 mm gap between the countertop and wall and fill it with silicone. This gap prevents excessive stress caused by potential movement in the building. Watch our video for more detailed information.

Matt products have high scratch resistance, so direct contact with kitchen utensils does not cause problems. Their non-combustible structure also allows cookware taken from the oven or hob to be placed on the surface.

The health and quality credentials of T-One porcelain countertops are confirmed by international NSF certification, and they are suitable for food contact. Their non-porous structure prevents bacterial growth on the surface and resists staining.
