Kalekim Kimyevi Maddeler San. A.S. (Chemical Materials Industry Corp.) has been a leader in the field of construction chemical since it was first established in 1972. In 2002 it merged with Kaleterasit Siva ve Boya San. A.S. (Plaster and Paint Industry Corp.), a company formed in 1968 and the first in Turkey to produce outdoor plaster and painting supplies, to form Kalekim A.S.
At its four separate plants in Turkey (Istanbul-Sefakoy, Isparta and Mersin), Kalekim produces Kalekim brand building chemicals including ceramic bonding agents, mortaring materials, pre-colored grout, insulating materials and surface cleaning materials. Kalekim is Turkey's sector leader having an annual 500,000 ton capacity and a sixty percent market share. It reaches its end users in Turkey through more than 150 dealership channels. It is exported to sixteen counties with a total of 106 sales points abroad.
The Istanbul-Sefakoy factory has an annual 38,000 ton production, 22,000 tons of plaster and 16,000 tons of paint, in addition to ready colored plaster, indoor and outdoor front paints, insulation materials, surface prepping materials and decorating systems.
Kalekim Mersin Chemical Substances Industry and Trade Inc. was established in 2000 to produce export oriented goods.
