Established in year 1974 for the purpose of meeting the logistics service needs arising in line with the increasing production volumes of all the Kale Group companies, with Kaleseramik Çanakkale Kalebodur at top, Kalenakliyat A.S. operates today in the field of logistics and transportation services with its fleet consisting of 350 road vehicles, 65 cargo railway wagons, one Ro-Ro vessel, and two dry cargo vessels..
Having a transportation capacity of 3 million tons per year, Kalenakliyat has been producing alternative transportation solutions, and places considerable significance on sea and railway transportation, with the purpose of meeting the problems of increasing transport costs and competition, in line with the basic purposes and policies of the Kale Group. Kalenakliyat, who has been developing combined transportation based operations in particular with this aim in mind, targets to become the strongest company regionally in the sector in the short run, by expanding to extra-group customers.
The medium and long-term goal of our Company is, as a result of the investments to be made, and projects to be created in such scope, to become the preferred logistics and transportation company of our country, who carries out the combined transportation operations with an emphasis on rail and sea, with its extra-customer expansion completed.
Currently offering shipment services by road, rail and sea, to approx. 850 destinations nationwide in Turkey, Kalenakliyat uses its railway station at Sığırcı, Bandırma, for rail transport, and the Karabiga and Bandırma ports as sea outlets. Kalenakliyat has also Distribution Centres in Ankara and Mersin/Adana regions, and Intermediate Storage Points at Trabzon, Burdur, and Istanbul, with the purposes of decreasing the transportation costs, shorten the lead time, and elevate the service quality.
Operating also in the fields of gas station operation (Shell), truck (BMC) and tyre (Continental) dealership, and insurance agency (Axa Oyak) in addition to its main lines of business, in order to offer better conditions of service to, and meet the needs of the freight forwarders, Kalenakliyat is also the operator of the İda Kale Resort Hotel at Canakkale.
