The Kale Group establishes Kaledekor, the premier company in Turkey's construction sector to provide integrated solutions to end product users.
In light of the continual growth of the Kale Group, H. Ibrahim Bodur Holding is established to organize investment resources.

While Ibrahim Bodur selected the "Çanakkale" name and symbol for the initial company, he adds his last name to the "kale" of the company slogan, "As strong as a kale (fortress)" as the company founds Kalebodur, an event that coincides with the 15th anniversary of Çanakkale Seramik. The name "Kalebodur", Turkey's first producer of ceramic floor tiles, soon becomes a generic term in Turkey for the concept of floor tiles.

The Kale Group takes its first steps toward incorporation when it establishes the Kale Holding Company.
Kalekim, Turkey's first producer of ceramic bonding agents, is established. Kalekim joins the Turkish companies whose names become the generic term for the products being produced.

Kalenakliyat (Transport), a freight transport company with a large fleet of vehicles, is founded.

Yorsan is established to utilize the region's natural resources.
